IUI Intrauterine Insemination & ICI Intracervical Insemination

IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) and ICI (Intracervical Insemination) catheters are essential tools for home insemination, providing a safe and effective way to deliver sperm to the cervix or uterus. These catheters are typically made of flexible, medical-grade materials to ensure comfort and ease of use during the insemination process.

The IUI catheter is designed to pass through the cervix and deposit sperm directly into the uterus, maximizing the chances of conception. It features a thin, flexible tube that allows for precise placement of the sperm sample.

On the other hand, the ICI catheter is inserted into the cervix to deposit sperm near the opening of the uterus. While it does not reach as far into the uterus as the IUI catheter, it still provides an effective means of delivering sperm to the reproductive tract.

In both cases, using a cervix sperm cup can further enhance the efficacy of the insemination process. The cervix sperm cup is placed at the cervix opening to hold the sperm in position, allowing it to gradually release into the reproductive tract over time. This positioning helps increase the chances of sperm reaching the egg, thereby improving the likelihood of conception. Overall, IUI and ICI catheters, along with the cervix sperm cup, play crucial roles in facilitating successful home insemination procedures, offering individuals and couples a convenient and reliable method for fertility enhancement.
